Like the rest of the Fiji group Savusavu is experiencing really beautiful weather at the moment, it could be a little hot for some people, but the seas are so calm, & clear.
We had a trip to Namena Island on Tuesday, to drop off some Luggage to the live aboard Fiji Aggressor, anchored off the Island, doing dives.
The plane bringing in the bags, was delayed for 2 1/2 hrs so we didn't get away until 10.30, the trip was a good one, so on the way home, we decided to put out a couple of lines.
We trawled for a couple of hours, but there wasn't any sigh of bird life, or of fish working, so pulled in the gear & headed for home.
A few fishing boat are saying the same thing, there just isn't any fish around.
It could be the hot calm weather we are having, that is having a effect on the way fish are feeding.
