We took out a young couple from the States, on a half day charter.
First off we got a few skippies, nothing better came up so we left the mount, to look for something bigger.
It wasn't too long before one of the bigger rods went reeling out.
Once in the chair our guest started to bring in the fish, (I should have said tried to bring in the fish).
What little line he managed to bring in, was slowly taken out again.
This went on for 40 hard minutes, the fish got closer to the boat, & we were able to just get a look at it, a big wahoo, then the line snapped, too much strain.
Not long after, we came up to lots of birds working, we got 2 nice bull Mahimahi, about 15kg, & 2 other Mahimahi plus a rainbow runner.
That was a good day out, our guests were happy & we only lost 1 lure.
