After Cyclone Daman

Well the last couple of weeks have brought disappointment and relief to the little Tourist town.
Disappointment because we were expecting our biggest ever tourist boat, with close to 200 passengers. This was canceled two days before they were due to arrive. They had experienced bad weather and changed their route, missing out on Savusavu.

Then along came Cyclone Daman, the cyclone no one thought would turn into anything. We must all thank whoever was looking out for us that night, because we know there wouldn't have been much left standing if it had gone through on the predicted path.

This morning was one of the nicest sunrise, a pleasure to see after the last few days of worry.
This is just the start of the cyclone season and this year it has started with a bang.
