Savusavu Welcomes Pacific Sun Again

The weather around the Fiji group has been really wet and windy over the last weeks, so everyone was a little worried, because today, the Pacific Sun cruise ship, was again visiting us.

A little after dawn, the wind eased to a nice cool breeze, the clouds moved away & finally, the sun came out, it was going to be a good day, for our visitors.

The girls & the band boys started arriving at 7.30, to set up & ready the Copra Shed Marina for the visitors.

The ship is bringing 2000 people in this morning, shame it is a holiday, Queens Birthday, so most shops will be closed.

All along the road, just outside the Copra Shed, little stalls have been put up, so local ladies can sell their handicraft.
It has been a hard year. for a lot of people, so this is a great opportunity for the women to earn some money.

Once again, I think most enjoyed the visit to our little town, & we certainly enjoyed having the Ship visit.
