20 Years In Savusavu

Today we celebrate 20 years of operation in the little town of Savusavu.

When we first arrived into Savusavu it really was the Hidden Paradise, there were only a few yachts (could count them on one hand) in the harbour, & we were the only Sport fishing boat around, you knew all the ex pats by name, as there were also just a few of them at that time.
Today there are so many from all over the world that have made Savusavu their home, it is hard to get to know them.

For 10 years we transferred tourist to Moodys Namana Resort & to Dere Bay Resort on Koro Island . Mind you Dere Bay wasn't built then.
Game fishing or Sport fishing was done on days we didn't have a transfer.
We still go to Namena & Koro but only when the Resort boats aren't able to do the transfer.

Over the 20 years we have taken a lot of people from all over the world out fishing & have made a few very good friends.

Not sure how much longer we will be able to operate as it is getting harder to keep a hand on things with all the new regulations that are falling into place.

It has been a lot of fun & we both don't regret bringing Searov over from New Zealand to start our business here.

These are some of the photos we have taken over the years in Savusavu.
